We purchased furniture from Pinch Design years ago and I continue to be impressed by the quality of their pieces and their exceptional customer service. Pinch Design has a unique ability to create furniture that is both stylish and cleverly simple, with impeccable craftsmanship and high quality materials. I also love that the furniture makers sign their work it really adds a personal touch that makes each piece feel special.

Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing their outstanding customer service with Olivia and her team. After misplacing the key to one of our cabinets, with all the Christmas presents inside. I reached out to them and they were incredibly helpful, promptly sending me a replacement key at no charge even though we purchased the cabinet many years ago. It’s rare to find a company that not only produces such beautiful furniture but also goes above and beyond in ensuring customer satisfaction.

I highly recommend Pinch Design to anyone in search of timeless, well crafted furniture. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality have made them a standout for us and we couldn’t be happier with our pieces after years of owning them.

The original crew sent to put together the armoire put it together wrong and chipped the paint. After many calls and emails. Pinch agreed to remake it. Four months later, it was delivered. And even though I told them that the two people they sent did not know how to put together furniture. The decision was made to still send them (I assume because they already paid this outsourced company, then to pay a second new outsourced company). The same two guys came, they were at the house again for 4 hours. Scratching their heads and stripping more screws. Again the doors weren’t closing properly, were tight and putting pressure on themselves. Upon more arguing, the shipping company suggested sending another company. Great, wait two more months. They came, two very knowledgeable people. One gentleman wrote the text book on cabinetry for the whole state of Massachusetts. He said he was unsure if the doors would ever be right because of the weight, they should each have at least four hinges. But there was nothing he could do to fix. Aside from shaving off a side of the door and repainting.

Pinch is taking zero responsibility. They have not responded to an email in months. So from the US, I have to track them down. I have asked for a call from the owner, nothing. I’m saying all this because we all have a lot of options on who to buy furniture from. But if you are looking at pinch, you know how expensive they can be. Save your money and your time. 7 months from ordering, 5 months from receiving. I’m still fighting them. Why have a 24 month warranty if someone has to literally fight you to produce a piece of furniture that functions properly?

Our engagement with Pinch Designs, which commenced in the summer of 2023, has been characterized by notable disappointments, particularly in their management of our project phases and delivery commitments.

Initiating collaboration with Pinch Designs, we conveyed explicit instructions and underscored the critical nature of the first shipment reaching us before Christmas. Pinch Designs assured us of a "state-of-the-art" delivery service within a two to three-week timeframe. However, six weeks before delivery, our representative exhibited no recollection of our agreed-upon timeline, instead casually suggesting a post-holiday delivery. This lack of accountability and consideration for our substantial investment of $38,000 is disconcerting.

A week prior to the scheduled shipment, a Pinch employee unexpectedly sent us assembly instructions, a detail neither discussed nor expected from a high-end furniture provider. Despite their apologies and assurances to explore delivery company assembly options, it became evident that the selected delivery service lacked the requisite skills, resulting in extensive furniture damage.

The initial shipment, though delayed, suffered from incomplete delivery and communication breakdowns. A missing crate necessitated significant effort on our part to track down and resolve the issue. Three weeks past the initial date, we believed all items had finally arrived, only to discover an $8,000 desk had never left the warehouse.

Upon delivery, the received items displayed unacceptable damage, including chips and dents, while the floors of our new project were scratched and dented. Despite our grievances, Pinch promised to "make things right." However, a month later, there has been zero financial compensation, and the owners, ostensibly on vacation, have not addressed our concerns or provided compensation.

The faulty product, exemplified by a $15,000 armoire with doors that do not close properly, further underscores Pinch Designs' failure to deliver on quality and customer satisfaction. This experience prompts us to question their commitment to excellence and reliability, and we would caution others considering their services.

A beautiful shop but I do miss the old manager, Roger (if I recall correctly). Remembered earlier as I walked past how he would always offer me a cuppa and a Hobnob and we would discuss the range and "chew the fat" as they say!
